Cosmic News

Rosemary's monthly news

Each month I will post some ‘Cosmic News’, about the planets having major impacts and when there is a cosmic configuration of particular interest.

I am not an Astrologer, however, any Tarot practitioner will know that each of the 78 cards in the deck have a direct affiliation with the planets and Astrology. Therefore, a working knowledge of the Heavens is a requirement for any serious Tarot reader. I also post the ‘Cosmic News’ on my Facebook Page & Twitter.

Hello – for those of you looking for my usual monthly Astrology & Tarot Card of the Month, I am taking break from posting these for the moment as I am working on two new courses.

Having said that, we had a New Moon Eclipse in Taurus (energising finances, values and comfort) on 30th April, a great energy for taking stock of your finances.  Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus rules technology, so making money online is supported.  This planet can bring about sudden change and is complimented by Mars, making the ability to take radical action much easier.  We also have Jupiter and Pluto starting anew ‘synodic cycle’ heralding transformation and change in society, generationally and personally.  We also have a Full Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on 16th May.   This is a safe place in which to face and vanquish fears.  Let go!

Courses: One is an upgrade of ‘Tarot & the Dynamics of the Psyche’ and the other is brand new, a Seven Level journey to balance the everyday with the Sacred.  We are all ‘time poor’, we all want quick fixes and instant results.  This course is not for the faint hearted – it is ‘Spiritual Bootcamp’ and will require discipline and dedication.  At the end of the Seven Levels, you will be able to incorporate the Sacred and Divine into your everyday life.  Watch this space for more information.

ASTROLOGICAL INFLUENCES FOR MARCH 20200

This month brings a plethora of significant astrological events, including three lunar events, two major cosmic conjunctions and the Spring Equinox.  March promises to be one of the most eventful (astrologically speaking) months of the year. As March begins, there is a New Moon in Pisces, which is always a positive event. This lunation is one of the most auspicious of the entire year, bringing in the energy for long-term success in all types of relationships.

Make a note the days between March 2 and March 6, as these are some of the best days to sow the seeds of something new and significant, particularly regarding relationships.

New Moon in Pisces 2 March:  The influence of the Pisces New Moon highlights the poet, the dreamer and the romantic in all of us.  This is a great day upon which to meditate and to set your intentions for the coming month. Pisces, being a visionary sign, also lends its energy to making affirmations, visualisations and expressing our goals and wishes.  Jupiter, the planet of expansion, optimism, good fortune, faith, philosophy, hope, knowledge, abundance, travel, opulence, generosity, conscience (which also rules Sagittarius), is present at this New Moon, as is Venus, the planet of love, lust, relationships, sociability, eroticism, feminine sexuality, harmony, charm, vanity, intimacy, beauty, gratification, rivalry, lasciviousness, voluptuousness.  Phew, what a combination!  As if that were not quite enough, we also have the planet of action, Mars, in the mix – so if you are looking to attract love, friendship or more abundance into your life, now is the perfect time to do so.  Mars governs will, action, aggression, virility, self-preservation, lust, passion, male sexuality, energy, heat, anger, rage, impatience, machismo and vigour.  You have been warned!

There will be four planets in Pisces by March 9, highlighting the urge to ‘get away from it all’, or at least to contemplate a holiday. This might well be the perfect time take a break. If you work creatively, the Piscean influence could lead to major inspiration. In particular, March 13 is an auspicious day on which to pursue any romantic or creative dreams.

The Full Moon in Virgo (chaste, reliable, modest) on March 18 brings in the opportunity to make major alterations in our lives, it may seem a mild-mannered Full Moon, but not so fast – we have Pluto’s influence as well.  Pluto brings the energy of power (and the abuse of power), birth-death-rebirth, regeneration, illumination, transmutation, subversion, obsession, compulsion, the unconscious mind, decay, religious conversation, psychoanalysis. Under this lunation, an inner conflict between logic and emotions is certain to concern us. However, regardless of the pressure or uncertainty you may feel, listen to your heart and to your intuition. Pluto is all about transformation and these tend to be more psychological than physical. This is a time when we can evolve from the ‘what is in it for me’? mind-set to the ‘how can I serve’ mind-set.   It is also a good influence under which to let go of being critical, either to others or to ourselves.

Two days later, on 20 March, we welcome the start of Aries season and the Spring Equinox.  Our passions press for recognition and expression and our intuition will be heightened at this time. We now have the necessary cosmic influences to assist us in building the life we want. During the last few days of the month, there will be a powerful four planets in Aquarius, providing both logic and lending permanence to our efforts. Note March 28 as the best energy day to make a commitment on a relationship or to sign up to a business partnership.

ASTROLOGY & TAROT FOR YOUR SIGN

Aries This March your ruler, Mars, will be traveling very close to Venus all month. This influence assists with all endeavours relating to abundance (finance), love and creativity.  Days on which to super boost your career, to be assertive and clear regarding your goals are 2 and 3 March.  Supported by the energies in play you are well placed to request a pay increase, or apply for a new position or job.  The first half of the month sees your intuition fizzing, it is a great time for meditation and connecting with your ‘inner knowing’, possibly exploring psychic or esoteric matters.  When the sun enters your sign on 20 March, you’ll be ready to fully commit to your most desired aims and goals.

New Moon in Pisces 2 March:  12th House of Karma, Family Secrets, Reconnection, Reparation, Institutions, The Collective Unconscious, Matters ‘Behind The Scenes’:  This energy affords the opportunity to atone for past misdemeanours, it also urges a closer spiritual connection.  It may simply encourage a withdrawal, in order to ground and meditate.

Full Moon in Virgo 18 March: 6th House of Work, Service, Duty, Employment, Pets and Small Animals, Health & Diet:  This house may seem unappealing as it deals with day to day routines and mundane matters, however, this is a great month to review your routines and eliminate or factor into you schedule healthier habits.

Tarot Card:  The Hanged Man – The Hanged Man (ruled by Neptune, planet of inspiration, unboundedness, ecstasy, escapism, enlightenment, addiction, glamour, mysticism, sacrifice) is about surrender and possibly sacrifice.  He hangs suspended from a tree in leaf, the bottom half of the Egyptian Ankh and The Tree of Life.  If you turn him upright he reflect the posture of the card The World.  He has yogic and occult symbolism.  His legs make the figure 4 emphasising the material side of life, structure form and tradition.

His arms make a triangle, holy trinity, hence partnership but partnership with one’s self.  Mind, body & spirit. His ‘halo’ or aura indicates thought processes, ideas and the calm expression on his face shows he is not in distress. The Hanged Man is about being ‘on hold’ possibly feeling ‘stuck’ as though nothing is happening – However, the brain activity is key and The Hanged Man is all about ‘turning matters on their head’. To me, his gift is that of preparation.  Instead of feeling ‘stuck’ take control and prepare for when you are not ‘stuck’.  Preparation is key. Allow yourself to see the bigger picture.  Avoid complacency. Waiting may serve a purpose.

Taurus At the start of March the combination of Venus and Pluto could see you challenged and unsettled, however, this energy will quickly die down paving the way for a month in which you’ll be able to feel the tangible support of the universe for your career, particularly in the sphere of public visibility.  Marsh in Aquarius supports your efforts.  If you remain committed to your goals and network, network, network (your 11th House of community is activated this month) you’ll be able to make significant progress.

New Moon in Pisces 2 March:  11th House of Ideals, Altruism, Friends, Social Groups, Clubs, Hopes and Wishes:  This is a very important time for manifesting – it also brings great opportunities to meet new people and form lasting bonds.

Full Moon in Virgo 18 March: 5th House of Self Expression. It also highlights children, love affaires, recreation, sports and hobbies and is overall a creative energy.

Tarot Card: Nine of Pentacles – Success and achievement of goals.  Prosperity and comfort. Harvest, rest and relaxation. Solitary leisure, learning to be friends with – and to appreciate ones self. Renewal of the spirit, possible freelance or self employed work.  More autonomy over your time.

FEBRUARY 2022 ASTROLOGY

February opens on a responsible vibration with the New Moon in Aquarius on February 1st. This New Moon brings fresh opportunities to dream big, plan far ahead and focus on your goals in order to progress them.

The New Moon is the start of the monthly lunar cycle, heralding new beginnings, fresh starts and new endeavours.  The Aquarius New Moon will be the most powerful of the year and is an ideal time to work on manifesting what you truly want, to establish new rules for yourself, to connect more with your communities, to embrace the eccentric and the unusual.  So, begin that new project, set your goals and intentions, put energy and focus into your future.  This is a perfect opportunity to break out of old outmoded ruts, habits or relationships and to embrace the excitement of the new and – as yet unknown.

The stern planet Saturn (ruler of Aquarius) joins the Sun and Moon, bringing us both resolve and an ability to ‘think outside the box’ and to disregard others expectations of what we ‘should’ be, do, say or think and to become more progressive in our own thinking.

Resolve now to devote real time and effort, and we can manifest our most innovative visions under this New Moon. Saturn’s serious and wise influence reminds us that we have to be diligent and to have patience in order to bring about our aims and desires.  The visionary energy of Aquarius assists us to remain inspired.

In addition, this New Moon on 1stFebruary coincides with the Chinese New Year, the year of the Water Tiger “In 2022, the energy of the Tiger will be about making big changes, having more fun, and welcoming new adventures,” astrologer Narayan Montufar, author of ‘Moon Signs: Unlock You Inner Luminary Power’  says “In western astrology, the spiritual meaning of this new moon is very similar — it’s ideal for breaking away from the old and inviting in the new, while building foundations that are more aligned with who we are becoming.”

All of this is the perfect mix for encouraging us all towards radical changes.

The planet of Communication, Mercury, the messenger, (travel, learning, knowledge, reason, eloquence, cunning, perception, coordination, intellect, speech, gossip, writing) turns stationary again on 4thFebruary.

Communication, travel and trust may all have gone slightly awry under the retrograde phase, now these errors can be put to rights.

On 14thFebruary Mercury enters Aquarius, this is an optimistic energy bringing greater social interaction and innovative ideas.

February 16thbrings us the Full Moon in Leo. It is the ideal time to conclude any creative projects and you may well find that you are in the spotlight, or at least receiving some attention because of it. This Full Moon has the energy of fire, not only that, it takes place just prior to a very harmonious alignment between Jupiter and Uranus.  All of this is an invitation to give up ‘pride’ and ‘control’ and to bring in more trust.

The Sun enters Pisces on 18thFebruary triggering our empathetic side, heightening intuition and drawing us towards music, literature and spiritual pursuits.

FEBRUARY FOR YOUR SIGN & TAROT CARD OF THE MONTH

 *  NB: This month I have been drawn to using only the Major Arcana

Aries: This month the focus will be on group projects, use your passion and enthusiasm to inspire and energise those around you. This is the ideal time to be the leader of your co-workers, your friends, or your community to steer them towards success. Your efforts now will bring acknowledgment and endorsement in the future. Do share the spotlight with those who have also contributed to making your goals manifest. This New Moon is highlighting your friendships, old and new.  It’s a great time to participate in any activity that involves others. This will bring a sense of community and solidarity.

New Moon 1stFebruary – 11thHouse of Ideals, Altruism, Friends, Social Groups, Clubs, Hopes and Wishes: This is a very important time for manifesting – it also brings great opportunities to meet new people and form lasting bonds.

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 5thHouse of Self Expression. It also highlights children, love affaires, recreation, sports and hobbies and is overall a creative energy.

Tarot Card: The Hermit – is inwardly focused and private. Solitary, yet not necessarily lonely, independent and secluded.  He gives and receives spiritual guidance.  He highlights our ability to be at home in our own company, indicating withdrawal for contemplation, discovering ones own spiritual philosophy. He highlights the attributes of discernment, and discrimination. He indicates possible withdrawal from a relationship, a search for inner wisdom and direction.  The Hermits sign is Virgo:  Virginal, chaste and pure.  Analytical, modest, meticulous, fussy.  Overly critical, yet good communicators – loving ‘beneath the surface’. Seeking a mentor or wise counselor is indicated.  Be ready to listen and ask you own inner self what feels right. Patience and quiet times.  Higher influences will arrive in your life, Guardians, Guides, Higher Self, your Own Soul.  This is a time of personal growth and maturity.  Calm self-knowledge and breaking away from outside influences. Also a council against over analysis of a situation and more intuiting. The Hermit encourages us to have faith in our innate wisdom, experience, intelligence and intuition, he urges us to use these attributes as our ‘guiding light’.

Taurus:  This is a great month for following your dreams and goals, no matter how far out of reach they may seem.  You may find it hard to focus but you’ll reap great benefit if you allow yourself to remain ambitious, yet unfazed. With all of this going on, you’ll need to factor in some self-care and down time to keep the ‘batteries charged’. Under this lunation, your career zone is being lit up, so be bold, step out of your comfort zone and ‘take uncomfortable action’ toward your goals.  It is also the perfect time to initiate a new project.

New Moon 1stFebruary – 10thHouse of Ideals, Altruism, Friends, Social Groups, Clubs, Hopes and Wishes: This is a significant time for manifesting – it also brings great opportunities to meet new people and form lasting bonds.  Pay attention to whom you meet this month!

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 4thHouse of Home, Family, Roots and Traditions:  You are entering a cycle where a better work/life balance between is required. Observe family relationships and if they are not harmonious, now is the time to devote some energy into creating accord.

Tarot Card: The Magician – is the achiever.  The Magician is a great ‘manifester’. Flexibility, communication and an understanding of your own abilities and potentials are indicated here. Some refer to it as The Actors Card as there is a sense of performance, although this may be performing with ones abilities to a certain standard rather than performance in the sense of entertainment or teaching. The Magician also signifies masculine sexual energy and creativity.  The figure points both to earth and sky and is crowned with the ‘8’, the symbol of infinity, so on some level he is grounded yet spiritual and in touch with both. He is holding a baton or wand indicating his power to achieve what he sets out to do.  In some decks he wears a belt depicting snake biting its own tail, this is about renewal and the continuation of the soul. Adaptability, ability to listen, combining skills, invention, enterprise, quick-witted decision-making, creative imagination. Consciousness, meaning, direction. This is good time to take on training or learn something new.  Prepare and get ready for self-made opportunities.  Your skills are appreciated and your confidence increases. Strong, capable, alert and motivated. Do not settle for terms you don’t agree with or make commitments you know aren’t right.

Gemini:   It does seem highly likely that you’ll receive some information this month that will have a profound and positive effect on your day-to-day living.  Mercury (your ruler) ends its retrograde phase this month, freeing you to look for new adventure, new stimulation.  You may well make some travel plans and take on some study that you’ve long intended to explore. This is a great month to join a group that exchanges opinions and ideas, your intellect is super charged and you’ll be able to communicate clearly and with passion.  You may well find some of your core beliefs shifting under this New Moon.

New Moon 1stFebruary – 9thHouse of Ideals, Altruism, Friends, Social Groups, Clubs, Hopes and Wishes: This is a significant time for manifesting – it also brings great opportunities to meet new people and form lasting bonds.  Pay attention to whom you meet this month!

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 3rdHouse of Communication, Talking, Writing, Short Journeys, Siblings, Neighbours and Community: Your communication skills are energised this month, ask yourself what is it you want? Then ask for it!

Tarot Card: Justice The imagery is of Justitia from the Greek Titanis Themis, originally the image was blindfolded, denoting that the law does not discriminate.   The number 11 is a ‘master number’ and relates to the psychic, thus Justice is required to ‘see’ and so she is not blindfolded in the Tarot.  The upward pointed sward indicates resolve and the ability to piece illusion to gain the ‘heart of the matter’.  The two edged sword symbolises choice, the figure has one foot visible and one foot hidden in her robe.  Feet are about stance and stand point.  We are formed by the actions we have taken in the past and will be by those we choose in the future. Taking a rational view is essential. Diplomacy. Tact. Arbitration and peace-keeping. Objective thinking, interaction and communication.  Accepting the truth, taking responsibility for your choices, looking at both sides of an argument.  Weighing things up, justice, morality law and order, legal matters. Take advice before making a decision.  Compromise may need to be considered.  Apologies may be required.  She may indicate the commencement of a new professional engagement or contract.

Cancer:  This month is all about how you connect with others. The crab can sometimes remain in his shell, but this is a time to come out, be bold and connect with other people. Seek out the like-minded and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.  Try not to pre-judge others, give them a chance and you’ll find that certain individuals will grow on you.  There is a potential to form long-lasting friendships or perhaps something more this month…do not allow past trust issues to hold you back, you’re being urged to navigate your way past the past!  Your intuition is super charged this month, so trust it.  Go with your gut and you’ll be amazed at the results.  Your soul and your psyche know what is best for you.

New Moon 1stFebruary 8thHouse of Goals, Aims, Direction, Higher Education, Philosophy, Foreign Trips, Ethics, Vision, Beliefs, Religion.  The search for meaning and higher understanding.

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 2ndHouse of Sense of Value, Money, Earned Income, Property & Possessions: A balance is needed between what you do financially for others and what you do for yourself. If you are about to make a major purchase know that this energy supports the expenditure. It is also a great time to ask for a wage increase.

Tarot Card: The Moon – Culmination and synthesis of all previous experiences. Spiritual knowledge from understanding. Compassion, enlightenment. Prepare for a new cycle, fate, self-awareness.

The Moon is governed by the sign of Pieces, sensitive, artistic, imaginative, intuitive, kind and sometimes over-sensitive. The moon as full and crescent indicates the transitory nature of all things.  It also encourages paying attention to ones intuition, perception and dreams.  The Moon represents the feminine, mysterious, intuitive, goddess.  The Moon warns against being taken in by illusion. Sometimes the moon brings us confusion, apprehension or worry but notice the crayfish emerging from the water. Water symbolises the sub-conscious and so the crayfish is facilitating the emergence of the sub-conscious into the conscious mind. The dogs indicate creativity and the path is the path you instinctively know you must follow from the core of your individuality. A complex card, the Moon also deals with our sense of security.  Trust in the ‘deeper realms’ particularly your own ‘inner voice’. Be aware o the possibility of self-deception.  A good time to explore spiritual knowledge.  Coincidences and ‘magic’ may happen around you, a creative time and encouragement to ‘know thyself’.

Leo: If partnered, February encourages you to be open to taking your relationship to the next level, weather that is newfound trust, a deeper sense of intimacy or a greater commitment. If single, remain open to the possibility of meeting someone with whom you resonate.  The New Moon is taking place in your relationship zone.  Whatever the case, this month you’ll receive support from others but don’t let that make you complacent.   Keep your inner fire burning!  You are in an ideal place to commit to others, weather in business or romance, don’t let self-doubt hold you back.

New Moon 1stFebruary 7thHouse of Partnerships, Matrimony, Other People, Legal Matters, Unity: The New Moon is in your love zone this month. Co-operation, competition and partners of every kind

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 1stHouse of Your Self, Physique, Outlook on Life, Personality: If you want to change the way others see you, or give yourself an makeover, now is the time to do so.  Any affirmations you make during this month have extra energy to support them, so get going on those positive mantras!

Tarot Card: Wheel of Fortune – Opportunity, chance, good fortune, inevitability, luck, timing, destiny.  CHANGE! Steady movement and progress.  Synchronicity and coincidence, taking advantage of opportunities.A new phase of life begins, embrace it! The wheel may signify a new relationship OR infatuation, how you respond is up to you…. Change for the better.  Positive thinking, you CAN make it happen.  Now is the right time.  A turning point in your life, help coming to you.

Jupiter rules this card:  Jupiter was once ruler of the Gods. Optimism, justice, expansion of knowledge, new learning, justice.  Also watch for over indulgence!

Virgo:  This month is all about your daily routines and your health and well-being.  Try taking your focus from the cerebral to the physical and if you offer help to others or volunteer, you’ll reduce your stress-levels as your focus will be outside rather than introspective.  Implementing a routine will assist in achieving your goals, there is also an emphasis on the new.  Why not try a new restaurant, new workout, a new self-care regimen.  Aim for and maintain healthy habits, which includes navigating away from toxic people!

New Moon 1stFebruary 6thHouse of Work, Service, Duty, Employment, Pets and Small Animals, Health & Diet:  This house may seem unappealing as it deals with day to day routines and mundane matters, however, this is a great month to review your routines and eliminate or factor into you schedule healthier habits.

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 12thHouse of Karma, Family Secrets, Reconnection, Reparation, Institutions, The Collective Unconscious, Matters ‘Behind The Scenes’:  This energy affords the opportunity to atone for past misdemeanours, it also urges a closer spiritual connection.  It may simply encourage a withdrawal, in order to ground and meditate.

Tarot Card: The Hanged man is about surrender and possibly sacrifice.

Libra:   Others can really benefit from your experience of overcoming challenges. Consider a blog, or just communicating with those who are in similar states just how you navigated your way through the tough times.  You are more of an inspirer than you know.  You do have the ability to inspire others, weather it is through your love of art and creativity or in the way you interact with your community.  This month may see friendships concluding and others beginning.  Your ruler, Venus, ceased its retrograde phase on 29thJanuary, therefore you may find your emotions heightened and you may be ’wearing your heart on your sleeve’.  If certain people leave your life try not to grieve, it is simply that you have both learned what you needed to from that association, remember others will be stepping in, bringing new experiences, laughter and bonding.

New Moon 1stFebruary – 5thHouse of Self Expression. It also highlights children, love affaires, recreation, sports and hobbies and is overall a creative energy.

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 11thHouse of Ideals, Altruism, Friends, Social Groups, Clubs, Hopes and Wishes: This is a very important time for manifesting – it also brings great opportunities to meet new people and form lasting bonds.

Tarot Card: Death (Transformation) This card should be taken metaphorically, not literally.  Many people are alarmed by the symbolism and require reassurance. Transition, moving on, change freedom & metamorphosis.  Letting go, like a snake shedding its skin. Moving forward organically. Change, new beginnings and endings. The end of an old cycle and the start of a new phase.  Let go of the past, don’t fear being true to yourself. Deep thinking, private, intense, passionate and prone to jealousy. The ability to strike out. Major change is heralded by this card.  Go with the flow.  Leaving home, parenthood and moving can be indicated by Death.  We all experience many major changes in our lives so the Death card will turn up from time to time. Let go of the past, welcome a new cycle, a parting of the ways, one door closes, another door opens.

Scorpio: This month, the more stable your personal life, the better the foundation for making progress in your career.  Now is the time to commit to ‘clearing the clutter’ and any negative energy in your domestic environment.  This will bring greater clarity in your business thought processes. Putting yourself and your ambitions first may not sit well with others, however, it will provide you with the mental clarity you need to further your aims.  Chosen friends are also ‘family’.  Surround yourself with the people who make you feel comfortable and at home in your own skin.

New Moon 1stFebruary – 4thHouse of Home, Family, Roots and Traditions:  You are entering a cycle where a better work/life balance between is required. Observe family relationships and if they are not harmonious, now is the time to devote some energy into creating accord.

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 10thHouse of Ideals, Altruism, Friends, Social Groups, Clubs, Hopes and Wishes: This is a significant time for manifesting – it also brings great opportunities to meet new people and form lasting bonds.  Pay attention to whom you meet this month!

Tarot Card: Temperance The word ‘temperance’ comes from the Latin ‘temperer’ which means to ‘mix’ or to or ‘to combine properly’. Notice that the angel is mixing water between the cups but the flow of water is physically impossible, as the lower cup is not directly beneath the upper.  This suggests that the character of Temperance has achieved a ‘magical’ balance.  Also the angel has one foot in water. Water is symbolic of feelings, emotions and the sub-conscious so again there is a dialogue between the physical and emotional/spiritual worlds.  This indicates a character who has achieved a certain sense of harmony, of balance within themselves and they are comfortable with who they are and how they respond to challenges. The yellow Iris, in the language of flowers, suggests ‘Good News’ it is also the national flower of France and was an element of the royal coat of arms. The path leading to the sun between two peaks indicates that there is always an alternative way/view and by taking ‘the middle way’, the more balanced view – one will reach the desired outcome. The triangle on the angels robe indicates that mind, body and spirit are in accord. The halo or aura shows mental activity that is blended, mixed and ‘properly combined’. Staying calm and getting life into perspective facilitates progress.  The ability to mix the various elements may bring forth new ideas. It is a time to heal wounds, mend hurts, be forgiving and act with grace.  Moderation in all things is required.  Compromise, resolution and mediation.  Having the willingness to work with diverse aspects to achieve harmony.

Sagittarius:  This is charisma month for you!  You’ll find you are much in demand and your opinion and mediation skills are being sought on a variety of issues.  Others will look to you to take the lead in certain situations and your social life will flourish.  Remember to be both ‘teacher and student’, we always learn from others.  This is an energising New Moon and it ends the Mercury Retrograde phase that put such a spoke in your wheels, now you can get to grips with projects and set up a new daily routine that will assist in furthering your goals and desires.

New Moon 1stFebruary – 3rdHouse of Communication, Talking, Writing, Short Journeys, Siblings, Neighbours and Community: Your communication skills are energised this month, ask yourself what is it you want? Then ask for it!

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 9thHouse of Ideals, Altruism, Friends, Social Groups, Clubs, Hopes and Wishes: This is a significant time for manifesting – it also brings great opportunities to meet new people and form lasting bonds.  Pay attention to whom you meet this month!

Tarot Card: The Empress – Abundance, creativity, harmony and union.  Matriarchal figure.  Maturity, healing, love of home, garden, countryside and simple pleasures.  She is wise and understands the value of love. Venus relates to love, sex, marriage, possessions and money and how we deal with those areas of our life.  Indicates our attitude to and what we expect from marriage also personal relationships, be they personal or business. Mother figures are important in your life. Focus on beauty, harmony with the natural world.  Sensual awareness and luxury. She is associated with Ishtar, Aphrodite and Erzulie, all of whom are quite grand.  They also signify a passionate approach to life.  The goddess aspect of The Empress is associated with agriculture, hence the grain at the feet.  In Europe she was ‘The Corn Goddess’.  Her crown is of 12 stars, the zodiac, her necklace is nine pearls for the 9 planets. She is literally wearing the cosmos as her jewelry! She can indicate great satisfaction on all levels but also the stubborn insistence on a purely emotional approach – which is not always productive.  Whichever way you look at her, she is a ‘force of nature’.

Capricorn:   This February you may well be inspired to explore a new income stream.   When opportunities present, don’t hesitate! This is the ideal time to boost your income.  Embrace these unexpected, innovative and optimistic opportunities and you will be well on the way to making a secure and financially comfortable future.  It may have been a slow start to the year, with both Venus and Mercury Retrograde, but it is now speeding up, focus on moving forward with confidence and look at every opportunity that presents. You’ll be so glad you did.

New Moon 1stFebruary – 2ndHouse of Sense of Value, Money, Earned Income, Property & Possessions: A balance is needed between what you do financially for others and what you do for yourself. If you are about to make a major purchase know that this energy supports the expenditure. It is also a great time to ask for a wage increase.

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 8thHouse of Goals, Aims, Direction, Higher Education, Philosophy, Foreign Trips, Ethics, Vision, Beliefs, Religion.  The search for meaning and higher understanding.

Tarot Card: The Tower 16 the number of this card, added thus 1+6 = 7, Seven planets, the seven seas, the seven vices and deadly sins. The completion of a cycle.  Assessing things rationally, a sense of destiny. Preparation and initiative. Mars, ruler of this card, is the planet of war, action and assertiveness.  The influence of Mars in yourlife can leave others shocked or shaken! This card indicates some form of disruption that we perceive as outside our ability to control.  However, it is not necessarily as dramatic or negative as the cards imagery suggests. The disruption may happen suddenly, unexpectedly and yet it gives us the opportunity to view matters from a different perspective, a catalyst that leads to some form of liberation, possibly from self-imposed restrictions. It is a harbinger of some form of enlightenment, of ‘seeing the light’, the ‘scales fall from your eyes’, gaining clear insight. Notice that the drops of fire falling around the tower are not actually flames, they are the Hebrew letter ‘yod’ the first letter of God’s name symbolizing not anger but grace. So the card suggests disruption, shock or dramatic change – however, swift and sensible action can minimise the impact and indeed, lead to greater freedom.

Aquarius: February sees you veering towards reconnecting with those things that really support who you are at your core.  The authentic you needs to chase a long-held dream, to reassess and make over your style, to incorporate healthy life-enhancing habits.  You’ll also find that you can balance focusing on your relationships with maintaining your independence. Both you and your partner (if you have one) are individuals and need space to grow.   It is your birthday month and the energy offers you the chance to make a new fresh start, to embrace your charming eccentricity and ramp up your confidence.  Set high standards, go for it and believe you can achieve!  You really can….

New Moon 1stFebruary 1stHouse of Your Self, Physique, Outlook on Life, Personality: If you want to change the way others see you, or give yourself an makeover, now is the time to do so.  Any affirmations you make during this month have extra energy to support them, so get going on those positive mantras!

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 7thHouse of Partnerships, Matrimony, Other People, Legal Matters, Unity: The New Moon is in your love zone this month. Co-operation, competition and partners of every kind

Tarot Card: Judgement – Receptive, balance, partnership, unity & co-operation. Pluto, ruling planet for this card, can be a demanding planet.  It takes 248 years to complete an orbit and rules Scorpio.  Its watchwords are power, regeneration, elimination, taboo, transmutation, subversion, obsession. Judgement is a karmic card.  The phoenix rises from the ashes (Scorpio is all about transformation), a new start is offered. Rebirth, rising above, regeneration, recovery. What goes around comes around. Judgement comes from a higher place, not from mankind. Break through and break free, put your foot down, speak from the core of your integrity.  Make more of yourself and welcome fresh chances.  Taking responsibility for your actions.  Reap the reward of past actions, a new cycle, a new project, time to reinvent yourself.  Feeling more comfortable ‘in your own skin’.  A new-found appreciation of yourself.

Pisces: Known for your empathy and intuition, this month you will receive acknowledgement for the way in which you support others.  However, it is important to maintain awareness of your own personal freedom.  It may be that you need to implement stronger boundaries, by all means give to others, but in the process don’t take away from yourself.  This New Moon brings Pisces into a phase of introspection. This assists you to see yourself with greater clarity and identify your most immediate needs. This is the ideal time to project your intentions out into the Universe, particularly under the influence of the Aquarius New Moon on 1stFebruary.  If you are so inclined, make a list of your wishes, make affirmations around them and perform a ritual on 1stFebruary to boost your aims and goals. This brings your desires closer to you.

New Moon 1stFebruary 12thHouse of Karma, Family Secrets, Reconnection, Reparation, Institutions, The Collective Unconscious, Matters ‘Behind The Scenes’:  This energy affords the opportunity to atone for past misdemeanours, it also urges a closer spiritual connection.  It may simply encourage a withdrawal, in order to ground and meditate.

Full Moon 16thFebruary – 6thHouse of Work, Service, Duty, Employment, Pets and Small Animals, Health & Diet:  This house may seem unappealing as it deals with day to day routines and mundane matters, however, this is a great month to review your routines and eliminate or factor into your schedule healthier habits.

Tarot Card: The Star – The Cards number is 17, 1+7 = 8. This is a most significant number in Tarot. Remember the 3 cards crowned with the symbol of infinity or 8 on its side.  The Magician, Strength and the Two of Pentacles.  It indicates power, karma (reap as you sow), evolution and moving on. 17 denotes the unconscious activated. The Star resides under the auspicious sign of Aquarius, the water bearer of the Egyptian God of the Nile, Hap. In Greek mythology he was Ganymede who made it rain and poured wine for the Gods. Ganymede also represents caring service to others, honesty and humanitarianism. The bird in the image is an Ibis, another Egyptian symbol of the God Thoth.  He was the original inspirer for arts of all kinds. The star is a joyful card of reflection, renewal and hope. Renewal of mind, body and spirit.  The dawn of new optimism. Knowing that you will be successful. New trust in a relationship.  It represents the heavenly bodies that guide us and strengthens our ability to be in touch with that guidance. Elegance, peace and tranquility. Self-belief in your better qualities. Shine like the star you know you are!  It is a calling for self-healing and trusting that the heavenly bodies (cosmos & planets) are assisting you.  Make a sincere wish and have faith in a beneficial outcome.  It also indicates a willingness to do things slightly or even greatly differently.
